#PelaElOjoPanama is a citizen awareness campaign, which seeks to promote transparency and participation in democracy. Denouncing the rulers with open causes of corruption, and thus prevent them from being reelected in the 2019 general elections.
Panamanians continued to vote for the same politicians election after election and justified them because they «steal but do.» Therefore, we took a gesture popularly recognized in Panamanian society, to convert it into a form of protest that allowed to expose political corruption. As a result, of 51 deputies only 15 managed to be re-elected in the 2019 general elections.
